First Thing: SEEK!

“But seek (aim at and strive after) first of all His kingdom and His righteousness (His way of doing and being right), and then all these things taken together will be given you besides.” — Matthew 6:33 AMPC.

The past couple of weeks have been a walk through the basics of EVERYTHING. Everything I was born to accept as truth that has now turned into religion/tradition/routine and formed an invisible rope around my neck.

Daily, there is a pulling to plunge into the root — a call to my attention to build my convictions and untie the ropes. Every time I’ve yielded, the TRUTH I find breaks and reorients me. Innocently, I have been doing the right wrongly.

These discoveries intensified the need to seek knowledge and stay in the place of prayer to truly understand— the right ways to live and serve God.

Recently, I finished reading some books titled ‘Kingdom Principles’ by Myles Monroe, ‘The Priestly Bride’ by Anna Rountree, and ‘God’s Favorite Place on Earth’ by Frank Viola. They questioned the things known and birthed a new awareness of the unknown. It reminds me of a video I watched in 2021 when I desired a deeper connection with Him who called me His. Desiring to have the best in this new season doesn’t automatically launch us into newness when we do not seek.

You’d first have to seek to find, and what you seek, becomes your trajectory to transformation.

In all that you do this year, Seek God.

Seek His ways. Seek His help. Seek His kingdom. Seek His righteousness. Seek wisdom. Seek knowledge.

Seek to be the more you’ve been designed for. For He has assuredly assured us in Jeremiah 29:13 (AMPC) — “Then you will seek Me, inquire for, and require Me [as a vital necessity] and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart.”
